WILLIAM KEITH William Keith most recently served as the Artistic and Executive Director of The Savannah Orchestra, a professional orchestra based in Savannah, Georgia. He has diverse talents in the musical and business world. He holds a baccalaureate, masters and PHD-ABD in trumpet performance and conducting, and has over a decade of experience conducting orchestras and wind ensembles at both the university and professional level. Mr. Keith has served on the artistic faculty at Elon College (now Elon University (NC)). the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah, GA . In 1995 Mr. Keith left the academic realm and accepted the position of Managing Partner for the Internet division for Morris Multimedia Inc, a privately held national media company. He subsequently acquired the division from Morris Multimedia in 2004, and then realized a rare opportunity that allowed him to apply both his musical training and business experience in service as the Artistic and Executive Director of the Savannah, Georgia professional orchestra which he re-founded. Mr Keith continues to be actively involved in the promotion of arts education initiatives and has recently served as curriculum designer for both The Getty Foundation funded Southeast Center for the Arts, and the Gretsch Foundation funded Grestch Music, Art and Dance Institute. In 2009 he established MICROFUNDEDARTS LLC to share with other non-profit organizations, the innovative funding methodology he discovered and piloted during his term as The Savannah Orchestra's Executive & Artistic Director. MICROFUNDEARTS currently has active development campaigns in multiple markets nationally with both individual 501(c)(3)'s and larger non-profit associations.
